Joyce (Gerber) Frederickson1946 ~ 2013Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and friend has passed after a courageous, year-long battle with brain cancer. She was born to Hugh and Edna Gerber on Jan. 17, 1946, in Spanish Fork, UT. She married Robert Hall Frederickson on September 1, 1967, in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. Joyce was a devoted mother and grandmother of seven children and 15 grandchildren. Joyce was blessed with a warm smile, the sweetest laugh, and the ability to make anyone in her presence feel warm and at home. She graduated with an Associate's Degree from Weber State University and worked in the medical field as an Office Administrator for 15 years. Joyce served faithfully in multiple church callings, most recently in the Draper Temple. She is survived by her loving spouse, Robert, and their children Douglas (Laura), Gregory (Karie), Lisa (Zane) Westover, Brian (Tiffiny), Daniel, Matthew, and Kenneth (Anne) Frederickson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Sandy East Stake Center Chapel, located at 9636 S. 1700 E., at 12:00 P.M. A viewing will be held Monday, Jan. 7 from 6 - 8 P.M. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT and 10:30 11:30 A.M. prior to the funeral at the chapel.
