Jerry Paul Johnson1925 ~ 2013Jerry Paul Johnson, age 88, passed away on September 27, 2013 following surgery. He was brought into this world by J. Hill and Leah Johnson on January 2, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married the love of his life, Patricia Tucker, and together they raised four fabulous sons: Stanley, David (Sally), Chris, and Kelly. They were also blessed with four grandchildren: Erin, Illa, Chase, and Peter. Patricia preceded Jerry in death. His sisters and brother also preceded him in death: Shirley Brown, Jacquie Clark and Jay Johnson.Jerry attended East High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Utah. He was an army veteran who proudly served during World War II. He started his own company, Jerry Johnson Construction, which he ran until his retirement. Jerry was a genuinely kind man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He golfed with his sons every Sunday right up to the last weekend of his life. Even though he had failing eyesight, the boys would tell him which direction to swing and he'd follow through. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the VA Hospital, where Jerry had the best care possible.A private service will be held for close family and friends at Jerry's final resting place in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive on Thursday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m.
