Radell "Rudy" William Nielsen1953 ~ 2013Radell "Rudy" William Nielsen, age 59, of Orem, passed away at his home on September 27, 2013 after a short illness. He was born October 17, 1953 in Provo, Utah, a son of Leland Oscar and Francis Eva Mellor Nielsen.Radell was a talented musician playing several instruments and singing in the Orem High School choral groups. He loved the outdoors and was an avid water & snow skier.Radell worked at Deer Valley Resort for 28 years in Maintenance and Security. He served an LDS Mission to the California Southern Mission. He was very loving and kind to everyone he met. He enjoyed taking terminally ill patients to Lake Powell which was his favorite place on earth. He was adored by his nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed. Radell is survived by his sister Fae Naylor (Clyde), brothers, Maynard L. Nielsen (LaOne), Elliott Nielsen (Ann) and Roger L. Nielsen (Sandra). He is preceded in death by his parents Leland and Eva Nielsen, his brother Darrell Lee Nielsen and his sister Leanna Beckwith. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 North 650 East, Provo.
