Lois Walker Erickson1919 ~ 2013Lois Walker Erickson passed away peacefully at the age of 93, surrounded by her family in Vernal, Utah on October 11, 2013. She was born on November 18, 1919 to Rose Richardson and George Walker in Vernal, Utah. She married P. Bryce Erickson in the Manti Temple in Manti, Utah on December 27, 1945. Lois Walker Erickson was a delightful woman who touched many lives for good. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend. She was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings in auxiliaries of the church. Lois loved music and served in or directed many choirs as well as singing at countless funerals with family and friends. She worked for the Federal Government in the ASCS Office In Vernal. Lois loved to cook, sew, crochet, quilt and to make hand dipped chocolates. Lois loved life and loved others and shared her positive attitude with many. She encouraged her family and led by example. She will be greatly missed but long remembered by her family and friends.Survived by: Anita and Ronald Enloe (Vernal), Darwin and Carolee Erickson (Vernal), Rodney and Margo Erickson (West Jordan), Robyn and Kevin Martin (Bountiful), 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, Howard and Verla Walker (brother), Marva Lent (sister), Ruth Walker (sister-in-law), Gloria Erickson (sister-in-law), nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by: Bryce Erickson (husband), MarShel Erickson (granddaughter) her parents and 7 siblings.Services will be held: Friday, October 18, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Vernal 4th Ward Chapel, 235 East 600 South, Vernal, UT. Friends may call on Thursday, October 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home, 410 North 800 West. Interment will be at the Vernal City Cemetery, Vernal, UT.
