JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Authorities say a man arrested at Jacksonville International Airport told security screeners he had a bomb in his backpack but they only found an electronic scale and batteries.

Zeljko Causevic was booked into jail early Wednesday. He's charged with making a false report about a hoax bomb. Authorities say he approached screeners at the security checkpoint.

The airport was evacuated and flights were stopped before reaching the gates. Passengers were displaced for nearly five hours.

Authorities say 39-year-old Causevic is scheduled to appear in bond court in Jacksonville at 1 p.m. An arrest report indicates he's originally from Bosnia.

Another person was arrested after officials say he started acting suspiciously but officials say he's not connected to Causevic.
