SOUTH JORDAN — Instead of a pool, the South Jordan Fitness and Aquatic Center will soon have a witches brew ready for people to jump in.
On Monday, Oct. 28, the center's regularly scheduled open plunge will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween Bash and Pumpkin Plunge. The pool will be dyed a spooky purple hue, which is nontoxic and not damaging to swim wear.
Children can pick one pumpkin out of the pool pumpkin patch; swim with turtles, snakes and other creepy floating creatures; and play games to win Halloween prizes.
Regular center entrance fees and rules apply during the event.
The event will run from 4-6 p.m. at the center, 10866 S. Redwood Road. Members are admitted free of charge, otherwise fees are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors 60 and older, $3 for children 4-18, and free for children 3 and under
Children age 8 and under must have someone 14 years or older swimming in direct reach of them at all times.
