SALT LAKE CITY — Colorful T-shirts are on display at the University of Utah.

The display is meant to catch people’s eyes and raise awareness of interpersonal violence.

According to the Utah Department of Health, one in three Utah women will experience some type of sexual assault in their lifetime.

To bring awareness to this issue and all other forms of abuse, the Associated Students of the U. is hosting the Clothesline Project on Monday and Tuesday in the A. Ray Olpin Union Building, 200 S. Central Campus Drive.

The two-day event will feature T-shirts designed by victims of abuse portraying their thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Victims and their families are invited to contribute a shirt for display.

The display will continue through 3 p.m. Tuesday.
