Alice Augusta Ball Hamblin1918 ~ 2013Kaysville, UTAlice Augusta Ball Hamblin, 95, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 peacefully at her home.She was born April 28, 1918 in Kaysville, Utah the daughter of Thomas Slater and Ada Matilda Ball.Alice married Charles Raymond Hamblin on May 10, 1938 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 14, 1950.She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. Alice served a mission with Ray in the Atlanta, Georgia Mission from 1981 1983. They also served in the Ogden LDS Temple 1983 1988. Alice loved her flower gardens, enjoyed baking, played the guitar and loved to read. You never left her home without a hug.Surviving are daughter-in-law, Maxine, Kaysville; children, Duane (Charlene), Kaysville; Larene High, Layton; Ina, Kaysville; Leroy (Susan), Kaysville; Merlin, Kaysville; Marlin (ReNee), South Weber; Joseph (Kris), Kaysville; Carl (Kerri), Wales, Utah; 48 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, brother Shirley Ball. Preceded in death by her parents, son R. Jay Hamblin, son-in-law, James High, daughter-in-law, Jean Hamblin, four granddaughters, Trisha and Rachael Hamblin, Virginia Conry, Mary Bertha High, great-granddaughter, Saibrynn Hamblin, great-great-granddaughter, Beth MaCament, two brothers, Oscar and June Ball and two sisters, Corrine Hensen and Marva Ball. Very special thanks to Ina for her selfless loving service caring for mother the past several years and Rocky Mountain Hospice these last few weeks.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 200 East Center Street. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
