Also, key contests for playoff berths and region championship — in addition to traditional rivalry clashes and travelling trophy battles — spice up Week 10.

Including Tuesday’s playoff game in 2A North (won by Summit Academy), 48 schools are guaranteed tournament action, leaving 24 berths up for grabs among 40 eligible schools.

Fifteen squads have already been eliminated from qualifying for the postseason: American Leadership, Bonneville, Clearfield, Cyprus, Fremont, Mountain Crest, Mountain View, Murray, North Sevier, Ogden, Provo, Viewmont, Wasatch, West Jordan and Westlake.

Bonneville, with a bye, and North Sevier, which didn’t make the 2A playoffs, concluded their seasons last week.
