Floyd H. "Butch" Pease, Jr.1937 2013Our Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and HERO passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer on October 20, 2013. He was born January 23, 1937 to Floyd and Verona Pease.Dad was a successful businessman. He owned and operated Champion Fabricating & Supply for over 40 years.He served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Ambassador Club in SLC.Dad loved his family very much. We will treasure the memories we had with him forever - pool parties in Mesquite, hunting, camping, racing, and many cruises with family and friends. He loved golf.Dad was a talented craftsman. With his hands he lovingly built many treasures out of wood for his family. He taught his children the art of his beautiful woodwork.He loved racing and owned many cars that raced at the Bonneville Speedway and The Fairgrounds. In recent years he spent many good times at the Bonneville Salt Flats. We will cherish our memories with him at the Nascar races in Las Vegas. He was Past President of the Salt Lake Valley Racing Association and was currently a trustee of the Utah Motor Sports Foundation.He is survived by his wife Constance A. Pease, his children; Sheri (Scott) Dowding, Tami (Larry) Christensen, Cari (Dennis) Luce, Amy (Dave) Stroud, Steven Pease, Jessie (Kevon) Ogden, Allene (Fred) Harris, Pam (Loren) Berntson, Cherie (Mark) Clayton and a heritage of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and his beloved dogs Buddy and Tinkerbell. Also survived by his brother Bruce (Diane) Pease and his sister Marge Pease.A friends and family visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, Sunday, October 27, 2013. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Dad's wish was to be cremated.
