Garth Erick Jones1960 ~ 2013Garth Erick Jones passed away October 22, 2013 after a valiant fight with melanoma. He was born June 8, 1960 to Ruth Erickson and Jefferson Rulon Jones in Delta, Utah. He grew up on a farm and loved doing things outdoors, including shooting guns, hunting and fishing. Garth served an LDS mission to the Missouri-Independence mission from 1979-1981. He married Patty Daw on April 11, 1986 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a skilled electrician/controls technician and was a very handy man. He worked for Honeywell for 20 years and traveled the world. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and never wavered in his testimony!Survived by his wife Patricia; children: Kelsey (Tyler) Miller, Derek (Jana), and Rachel; sisters: Tammy Simmons (Delynn), Carolyn Schwab (John), and Judy Jones (sister-in-law). Preceded in death by his parents and brother Wayne. There will be a viewing on Friday, October 25 from 6-8 pm and funeral service will be on Saturday, October 26 at 11 am with a viewing one hour prior. Both viewing and funeral services will be held at the Grizzly Way LDS building, 7337 South Grizzly Way (5100 W.) West Jordan, Utah. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Independent Funeral Service.
