SALT LAKE CITY — Westminster College has suspended its women's volleyball coach following an alleged incident in North Dakota.

A spokeswoman for Westminster College would not release details of the indicent, calling it a personnel issue, but confirmed the school suspended Kim Norman indefinitely with pay.

Norman said in a phone interview that Westminster leaders told her they were looking into allegations of an incident during a game at Dickinson State in North Dakota, on Oct. 17.

"I was told by the administration that I had used a cuss word, and it was reported that my behavior was unacceptable," she said.

Norman said the allegation is false.

Norman is a well-known figure in Utah's volleyball community. According to Norman's bio, this is her 10th season as the head coach of the women's volleyball team. She's the longest tenured coach in the program's history and holds the school record for victories and winning percentage.
