KAYSVILLE — The U.S. Humane Society is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the people who threw a mother cat and four kittens out the window of a moving vehicle.
On Oct. 30, Natalie Clements witnessed two people in a maroon F-150 pickup truck toss kittens out of the vehicle while traveling about 60 mph on northbound I-15 near Kaysville. The incident occurred about 4:35 p.m.
The mother and two kittens were killed. Two other kittens survived. Clements took them to the Davis County Animal Shelter.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Utah Highway Patrol trooper Ashley Creighton at 801-447-8120.
The Humane Society previously offered a $2,500 reward in the case but recently doubled its standard cruelty reward thanks to a generous donation from a member of the organization's board.
