The Grizzlies quickly marched down the field, scoring their first touchdown of the night on a 4-yard run from Nelson. That tied the game 7-7.
Logan then forced Bountiful to punt, giving the ball back to the Grizzlies. Their high-power offense then marched down the field, scoring Logan's second touchdown just seconds into the second quarter on a eight-yard run by Nelson.

Editor's note: This article originally stated Nelson was ejected due to two personal foul penalties. This was incorrect. According to the UHSAA rules, a player is ejected for a single unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
