Keith DeVon Carsey"Beloved Son, Brother and Uncle"Bluffdale, UTKeith, age 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep November 3, 2013. Born October 22, 1933 to Delbert Henry and Burlith Kartchner Carsey in Salt Lake City, UT. After graduating from East High School, Keith joined the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He served honorably for four years. After returning home, he spent many years in the theatre in California and New York. Keith appeared in many motion pictures and several Off Broadway productions. He owned the "Sign of the Phoenix" art gallery in Greenwich Village. Upon returning to Utah he became a teacher at Bryman School. Keith was a master gardener and could grow anything. He enjoyed Appaloosa horses, travel, music and gourmet cooking. Keith loved spending time with his family. He was a very loving, kind and caring friend. He is survived by his sisters, Judy Carsey Scadlock and Dorthy Ann Carsey; niece and nephews, Wayne, Kally, Kent, Rick and Terry; and many great and great great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his partner, Richard Drew, parents and brother in law, Arlen J Scadlock.A viewing will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, with a graveside service to follow at 12 noon at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
