Bud L. Sanderson1923 ~ 2013Our beloved Bud was born to Arthur and Reta Broadhead Sanderson May 19, 1923 in Gunnison, Utah. He married Gwen Bjerregaard on November 11, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Thank you for the 70 years together.Bud graduated Gunnison High before entering the Coast Guard during WWII. He served honorably on the "San Pedro."For 38 years he was an ingot operator at Geneva Steel.Billiards, bowling, fishing, hunting (especially pheasants) and watching Jazz basketball were his hobbies, along with the almost daily washing of his car.Bud is survived by his wife Gwen, brother Don (Mable) and son Allen (Linda), Gregg, Ron (Janet), 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ina Sorensen and Karma Winters, and grandsons Jeff and Josh.Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Sharon Park 5th Ward, 150 East 600 North, Orem. Friends may visit with the family Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, or at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.walkersanderson.com.
