Obituary: KINSLOW, CARMA

Carma Ruth Cluff Kinslow1931 ~ 2013Layton, UtahOur loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Carma Kinslow reunited with her sweetheart Thurman "Gus" Kinslow the morning of October 30th. She passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours. Carma was born at LDS Hospital December 26, 1931. She always said "If I get to be born again I want my birthday in the summer." Carma was raised in Magna and attended Cyprus High School. When she was a senior in high school her family moved to Salt Lake City where she then attended and graduated from Granite High school. Carma worked most of her life as a secretary. She worked for Alaska Airline as a secretary and then work in the family owned business "The Tasty Freeze" in Alaska. In 1966 she moved back to Salt Lake City to be closer to family. Spending time with family and friends was her favorite pass time. Mom enjoyed watching the Utah Jazz and golf on TV whenever she could. She also loved to read and watch movies, especially John Wayne. She loved her rose garden and her yorkie dogs. Mom had undergone treatment for breast cancer in 2007-2009. Survived by her Sister Bea Swenson (96), daughters Jo Lynn Tidwell (Grant Tidwell), Terrie Jones (Doug Jones), Step-son Kim Kinslow (Debbie Kinslow) granchildren Nicholle Jones Voshell (John Voshell), Jourdan Tidwell, Mary Jones, Maggie Tidwell, Donovan, Jamie and Ryan Kinslow. She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman "Gus" Kinslow, parents Hyrum D. Cluff, LeVenia Elizabeth Cluff and brother Hyrum Gail Cluff. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care that was provided by Pheasant View Assisted Living in Layton, Utah and Hospice of Utah. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8th at 12:00 noon. A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 10:30 am 11:45 am, at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway,(10600 So.) South Jordan, Utah. Interment at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Camp Williams, Bluff dale Utah. Online condolences may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com
