Ethel May Scott1921 ~ 2013Ethel May Benson Scott, loving wife and mother passed away at age 92 on December 7, 2013. She was born in Drummond, Idaho, February 19, 1921 and was the fourth child of Anna Cherry and Harry Benson. She married Vernon Chester Scott, on December 5, 1941, in Los Angles, California. Shortly thereafter Vern joined the Army Air Corps and May worked at Lockheed-Vega Aircraft. After the war, May and Vern, lived in Bakersfield, California where their five children were born. December 1976, May and Vern moved to Sidney, Nebraska residing there until they served an LDS mission to Argentina. Upon returning they settled in Lehi, Utah. May always kept busy with her many hobbies cooking, quilting, sewing, tole painting, and doll making; she completed many projects during her life. She and Vern loved to square dance and travel with friends. She spent time serving others in church and civic assignments and had many friends wherever she lived. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Eva, Verla, Myrth, Myrna and four brothers Herbert, Edward, Lorel, and Melvin. She is survived by two brothers Keith and Clare Benson; husband Vernon Scott, and children Suzanne Jennings, Elmer Scott, Daniel Scott, Mardell Lloyd, Lila Bair, 23 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren all who have been recipients of her kindness, generosity and love. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Hearts for Hospice for their compassionate care. The funeral and viewing will be held at Sego Lily Ward 880 N 700 E, Lehi on Saturday, December 14. Viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 AM; the funeral services at 11:00 AM.
