Deonna Ann Bennett Larsen1932 ~ 2013Deonna Ann Bennett Larsen, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, went home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 22, 2013 Her last years were spent at the Fillmore Utah Hospital Long Term Care Center, where she was loved and given excellent care. Deonna was born May 21, 1932, to Nolan and Della Bond Bennett in Meadow, Utah, the oldest of three children. She graduated from Millard High School and moved to Salt Lake City where she attended McCune School of Music. She met her husband, Joseph Gale Larsen, in Salt Lake and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21, 1953.They lived and raised their four children in Salt Lake, where they were active in their wards, serving many callings over the years. Deonna was an accomplished pianist and organist. She taught piano lessons and was a mother to many as she encouraged and lifted the spirits of her ward family. She took care of her husband for many years as his health deteriorated. He passed away December 16, 1986. In 1997 she and a daughter and granddaughter moved to Meadow to live in the family home. Her years there were enjoyable as she reconnected with family and friends and helped raise her granddaughter. She is survived by children Jaren, Letitia and Cameron of Salt Lake City and Marcella of Meadow; grandchildren Travis (Laurie) of Syracuse, Christy and Kyle of Salt Lake City, and Nicole of Monmouth, Oregon; great grandchildren Anna, Kate, Eve, Max and Abby of Syracuse; sister Marlene (Neal) of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Joseph Gale, parents Nolan and Della Bennett, and brother, Boyd Nolan Bennett.Funeral services will Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Meadow Ward Chapel. A Viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Meadow Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Meadow Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.
