David Michael Dickert1968 ~ 2013Our precious son, brother, father, and friend peacefully passed away from us and the beauty of this Christmas season on Sunday morning, December 22, 2013. He is now in the waiting arms of loved ones and our dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In His safe embrace, David has the hope, peace and joy of Heavenly Father's promise which he has trusted and held so dearly and bravely. Our family loves David very much and we will miss him greatly. We know without doubt that we will be with him again one day. Our faithfulness and sacred promises to our Heavenly Father and His Son have encircled us as a forever family. David has lived, learned, labored and loved with all of his heart. He has loved living his lifetime in the shadow and splendor of Mt. Olympus and the Wasatch Mountains. This was his beautiful playground. The greatest gift of his life, that which he has cherished most, is the blessing of his two children Andrew James, age 13, and Kathryn Marie ("Kate"), age 7. The love David has for each of them is theirs forever and ever and they can trust in that love throughout their lifetime and always.David is survived by his parents Richard and Lynda Dickert, a brother Steven (SheAna), two sisters Sheryl Dickert Smith (Jason) and Karen Reid (Mackay), and his two children Andrew and Kate.Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fortuna Ward, 4407 Fortuna Way, Holladay, Utah. There will be a visitation one hour before the funeral. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah.We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses at Intermountain Healthcare who very professionally and compassionately cared for David during his illness. In lieu of flowers a contribution on David's behalf could be made to The Road Home, 210 South Rio Grande Street, Salt Lake City 84101.
