Live performance and the big screen will collide as the Utah Symphony presents “Pixar in Concert” on Jan. 3-4 at 7 p.m.

The presentation will include musical selections from Pixar’s 13 animated films, such as “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars” and “Toy Story.” Clips from the films will also be shown on the screen, bringing a multimedia twist to the performance of the scores.

Music featured during the performance will include jazz, pop and classical pieces written by award-winning composers, including Randy Newman, Michael Giacchino, Thomas Newman and Patrick Doyle.

Tickets for the performance start at $18 and will increase by $5 the day of the performance. Purchases can be made at the Abravanel Hall ticket office, located at 123 W. South Temple, by phone at 801-355-2787 or online at utahsymphony.org.
