Barbara Hanson Cummings1926 ~ 2013Barbara Hanson Cummings, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on December 26, 2013. She was born in Salt Lake City on November 15, 1926. In 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Clarence "Bud" Cummings, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they raised five childrenSteven, Peggy, Patti, Robert, and Richard. Her life achievements include teaching special-needs children at the Hartvigsen School, receiving her degree from Westminster College, and organizing an annual, week-long camp for her grandchildren known as "Rainbow Camp." For decades, she dedicated her life to her grandchildren, ensuring that they knew and loved each other. In addition to serving her church in the Primary and Relief Society, she also completed two missions with her husband, one in Barcelona, Spain and another in the Salt Lake inner city. She leaves behind her husband, children, 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her great-grandson, Joseph. A viewing will be held at 11:30 on Monday, December 30 at 4395 South Albright Dr. in Holladay. Funeral services will follow at 1:00.
