Obituary: WRIGHT, ORAN

Oran George Wright1922 ~ 2013Oran George Wright, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 01, 2013 of natural causes.Oran was born on January 29, 1922 in Hinkley, Utah to George Daniel Wright and LaVerne Bennett Wright. Oran Graduated from South High School, attended the University of Utah, and served his Country in the U.S. Navy and was a WWII survivor.Oran married Arline June Clements on June 22, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA and they were later sealed in the Logan Temple. Arline passed away January 10, 1971. Oran re-married Adris Joyce Wright on February 15, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple.Oran was self-employed throughout his life and held many LDS church positions and served as a Temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 22 years.Oran enjoyed skiing, fishing, and golf. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.Survived by his wife Joyce Wright and her children and grandchildren; children, Sandra Cochrane (Ken); grandchildren, Randy Cochrane (Suzanne), Brandon Cochrane (Carla), John Stirling; great-grandchildren, Candice Rigtrup, Victoria Cochrane, Ransom Cochrane, Kaylee Stirling, Shaylee Cochrane.Preceded in death by; daughter, Pamela Stirling and her husband Mark Schvaneveldt; brothers and sister, Merlin Wright, Theron Wright, Monte Wright, Nelda Staples.Services to be held on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Noon at the Parleys 3rd Ward, 2625 Stringham Avenue (2295 South), Salt Lake City, Utah 84109. Friends and family are encouraged to pay their respects and honor Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109 and at the Ward Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30am prior to service.
