SPANISH FORK — The city's fire and ambulance divisions will test their all-call siren at noon on New Year's Day.
Residents in the area of the public safety building, 370 N. Main, should not panic or worry when they hear the siren.
Starting in 2014, emergency officials will test the equipment twice each year, in January and July. Some residents will hear a loud siren for a short time. City officials apologize for any inconvenience the tests may cause.
