Obituary: MANN, CAROL

Carol Dee Mann1936 ~ 2013Our loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Carol Dee Mann, returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully on December 1, 2013, surrounded by many members of her family. After a 20 year battle with Parkinson's disease, Carol passed away on her own terms on a warm sunny day. Carol was born December 10, 1936 in Murray, Utah, the daughter of Elmer Joseph and Erma Phyllis Gordon Anderson. Carol was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings and considered her testimony and her family as the greatest possessions in her life. Carol married her high school sweetheart Ronald D. Mann on August 25, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Carol held fast to her belief in service to her fellowman and to her family doing so by example, sacrificing much in devotion to the full time care of her quadriplegic son David for 21 years.Carol is survived by her children, Brian (Rhonda) Mann, Pamela (Dave) Fischer, David Mann, Jeffrey (Cathy) Mann, Darrin Mann, Angela (Mark) Hiskey; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; a grandson, Kenny Mann; her parents; a brother, Alfred Anderson; her sister, Erma Elaine.A viewing will be held Friday December 6, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Millcreek 2nd Ward, 4220 South Jeannine Dr. (420 East), Salt Lake City, with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Murray City Cemetery.
