William Ray Jensen1922 ~ 2013William "Ray" Jensen, age 90, passed through the veil into the arms of his sweetheart, Faye, Jan. 29, 2013, West Jordan, Utah. Ray was born to David William and Bessie Pierce Jensen, July 13, 1922, in Goshen, Idaho. His family moved to St. Ignatius, Montana, where he grew up and raised his own family. Ray was a Navy veteran of WWII, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. He married Faye Riggin, Feb. 16, 1950, in Spokane, Washington, and was sealed to her, Sept 15, 1950, in the Idaho Falls Temple. A dairy farmer, Ray was elected to the state legislature, served as bishop, and later as a missionary in England. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Faye, in 1985; his siblings: Loa Jaten, Carl, Alice Brooks, Ruth, Bob, and Louise Merrill. Survived by his sister, Phyllis Heward Eichmeyer, and his children, who honor and revere him as a stalwart patriarch: David (Linda); Brad (Pat); Garr (Nancy); Valorie (Steve) Peterson; Carol (Randy) Jones; John (Kim); Jan (Mark) Peterson; 45 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Highland 24th LDS Ward Chapel, 5212 West Country Club Drive, Highland, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be Feb. 4, 2013 in the Pleasant View Cemetery, St. Ignatius, Montana.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.warenski.com
