SALT LAKE CITY — The Bureau of Land Management Utah Salt Lake Field Office is seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Raptor Inventory Nest Survey in northern Utah.

No special experience or credentials are required. The BLM will provide training, including map reading and navigation using a GPS, and field safety procedures.

Prospective volunteers must attend one of two training workshops, which will be held Feb. 23 and March 2 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Salt Lake Field Office, 2370 S. 2300 West.

It is recommended that volunteers own a pair of binoculars, a GPS unit and have an email address. The time commitment for volunteers is two field days per month from March through July to monitor an assigned area.
