Shelly Mikesell Clark Life is short, eat dessert first!Heaven has called her home. Shelly Mikesell Clark passed away in her home on February 22, 2013 at the young age of 50 after a six month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on June 24, 1962 to Jan and Marilynn Mikesell in Ogden, UT."Life is short, eat dessert first". This sign hung in Shelly's home for several years and was her life motto. Little did she know the words would come true. She was an amazing baker, cook, fashionista and decorator. This talent and passion would lead to a successful wedding and catering business. She also worked as a paralegal and was told by her boss that she was the best he ever had. Shelly was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served valiantly in many callings. She loved to go to Newport Beach, CA to enjoy balboa bars, lunch at The Crab Cooker, saltwater taffy and just to put her toes in the sand. She was a fun grandmother to her two grandkids and enjoyed her many adventures with them to Disneyland, Legoland, SeaWorld and anywhere else they wanted to go! They will always remember to make a wish for her on the dandelions.She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Brad Clark, their children Errin (Brent) Martindale, Alex and Brandon, 2 grandkids, mother Marilynn Mikesell, siblings Leslee (Steve) Ensminger, Brad (Kristen) Mikesell, Tina (James) Allen and Lynette (Ryan) Plott, parents-in-law Cal and Gloria Clark.
