Marilyn Miller Durrant1927 ~ 2013Our sweet camp director, Marilyn Miller Durrant was blessed with her wings the morning of April 8, 2013, peacefully at home with her eternal sweetheart by her side. Our devoted Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, Avon Lady and Lover of Life is now soaring free on the other side with loved ones. She is an inspiring example of unconditional love. Every day she taught us, by example, how to serve others, cook for the masses, and bring everything but the kitchen sink to each event. She is not only our wonderful and amazing Mother but she is Mom to everyone. If you went home hungry or without leftovers it was your own fault. You couldn't help but fall in love with her in an instant. Her embrace and smile will always be the light and granite of our world. She was born on December 29, 1927 to Eldred and Ruby Miller in Murray, Utah. She was introduced to her sweetheart Bob Durrant by his twin sister and they married on June 12, 1947. They spent 66 wonderful years loving and cherishing each other, and their 6 children; Rob (Shauna), Carma (Shirl) Leavitt, Tom (Debby), JoAnn, Jeff (Tammy), and Carolee. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren so far.Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 12pm at the "Old" Highland View Ward Bldg., 2790 East 3000 South, SLC.
