Jacquelene Arvella Peterson"Jackie"Jacquelene Arvella Peterson entered this world on January 16, 1929 at Dayton, Idaho to loving parents, John Nelson Peterson and Ruby Arvella Talbot Peterson. She returned to Heavenly Father on April 12, 2013 in Murray, UT. Jackie grew up in Salt Lake City with three loving sisters; Marie Peterson, Janice Peterson (Heilig), Sacramento, CA, and Mary Peterson (Murray, UT). Shortly after, she moved to Long Beach, California where she resided until 2005 when she returned to Murray, Utah to make her home with her sister, Mary Peterson.Jackie had a great love and appreciation for art and music. She loved singing, especially with her best friend and cousin, Faye Banta. She had a beautiful voice inherited from her Mother, and loved to sing the hymns of the Church. She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a great testimony of the truth of the Gospel.Jackie was well-known for her loving, compassionate and generous spirit. With loving care, she tended to her family and their needs. She helped her sisters and many friends raise their children and called many, her children. She took care of her Mother and Aunt Ethel Taylor until their deaths with all the tenderness, love, and compassion possible. Truly she followed the Savior's example of love and charity. Jackie's influence and example was felt by all who came in contact with her. Her quick wit and graciousness always left an impression with you. Jackie adored all of her nieces and nephews and always had a hug and open heart available for any that needed it. All who knew her loved her. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Marie, and her dearest 'sister' and cousin, Faye.
