Obituary: CREEK, TROY

Troy Shane Creek1966 ~ 2013Troy Shane Creek was born on March 2nd, 1966 to Brenda Gale Zuschin and Thomas Wayne Creek in Livermore, CA. In 1975, Troy's brother Joseph Zuschin was born. Troy grew up in California and attended Livermore High School with his best friend David Jones. Troy met his wife Celeste in 1983 through her older brother and his friend, Rex Rouviere. Troy graduated high school in 1984 and attended Chabot Community College for two years where he was the president of the fencing club. Troy attended the Heald College of Hayward in 1988. Troy received an Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering. In December of 1987 Troy married Celeste Rouviere at Granada Baptist Church. In June of 1988, Troy and Celeste had their daughter Ashley Marie Creek. When Ashley was two and a half, Troy and Celeste had their son Zachary Taylor Creek in December of 1990. Troy and his family moved from California and settled in Salt Lake City for the last 18 years. Troy had a passion for computers and chose to make them his career. In 2003 Troy obtained a certificate for computer programming which led him to his job at PSI where he worked for ten years. He was an active member of a group of online friends with whom he played several computer games for over ten years.Troy had an eclectic taste in music and movies but especially enjoyed Gregorian chanting. He was an amiable man and was liked by all. Troy was a symbol of the utmost courtesy and respect. Troy's favorite saying was "Say to God how awesome are your works" Psalm 66:3. He gave everyone equal treatment, non-judgemental support and love. Troy was a perfect father and loyal friend. Troy passed away on April 14th, 2013 at 47 years old from a cancerous brain tumor. A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 18th 3:00 p.m. at Canyons Church located at 1700 E Fort Union Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121. A potluck reception will be held at the church after the service and the family asks for dishes to be contributed.
