Obituary: LAMBSON, LOA

Loa A. Lambson1920 ~ 2013On April 17, 2013, Loa, our loving Mother, grandmother, and friend passed away. She was born on December 10, 1920, to Maurice and Ellen Adams in Blackfoot, Idaho.She was the eldest of ten children and at an early age learned how to work hard. She was an avid reader and valued education. In her 34 years of teaching she changed the lives of many people.Loa was an active member of the L.D.S. Church. She was also very active in NEA, UEA and GEA. She was a member of DUP and she enjoyed the rich history of her ancestors. She always kept busy doing things for other people. Loa and her eldest daughter, Ilona, spent many hours making over 400 baby quilts to donate.She was a devoted Mother of five children, grandmother of 25, great-grandmother of 65 and a great-great-grandmother of 12. She was proud of her family and never forgot a birthday or a special occasion.Loa is survived by children, Dr. Ilona Pierce, Merlin (Sharon) Wright, Judy Osborne, Linda (Chuck) Worthen and Debbie Hampton.Loa was preceded in death by her husbands, Merlin Wright and Arbie Lambson, her brothers and sister, Duane Adams, Homer Adams, Bruce Adams, and Thelma Wolfley, son-in-law Sherman Pierce, two great-grandchildren Dustin Wright and Kyrstan Hampton.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 11:00 a.m. at the River Ridge 7th Ward, 10124 So. 1300 West, South Jordan. Viewings will be held Friday, April 19th, 6 8 p.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 So. State Street, Sandy, and Saturday, 10 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
