Obituary: MOFFAT, RONALD

Ronald "Grant" Moffat"Beloved Husband"Ronald Grant Moffat, age 84, died April 21, 2013 after a fall. Born November 18, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Morrell Kearl and Viola McAllister Moffat. He married his sweetheart Dolores Durfee on August 25, 1948. Grant owned and operated Moffat Bro. Trucking with his brother and friend M. Ralph Moffat. He kept the trucks and equipment immaculate and did the graphic designing and painting of the trucks himself. The company was known all over town for beautiful trucks. When he retired in 1987, people flocked to purchase the trucks because of how well they were maintained. Grant and Dolores then started their years of fun retirement. When they built their dream home Grant used his artistic abilities and did an amazing job of landscaping their 5 acres. Survived by his sweetheart of 64 years; daughter Charllot (Clay I. Petersen Jr.) and son Michael K. (Maurine) Moffat; six granddaughters, Angela, Shelly, Trisha, Jenny, Amy and McKael and 15 darling great grandchildren plus one on the way; sister, Eileen (John) Orton and sister-in-law Yvonne Moffat. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. We love you and miss you and look forward to our reunion.
