Donna Louise Higgs Ries1927 ~ 2013Donna Ries, 85, was born on June 28, 1927 in Magna, Utah to Edgar and Nellie Higgs. She passed away in her sleep on April 22, 2013. Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Robert Ries on March 16, 1946, which was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on May 12, 1964. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Vernon Ries; granddaughter, Penny Ries and grandson, Dan Oglesby. Survived by her daughters, Catherine Addlesee and Karen (Dan) Thorpe; sons, Floyd (Jayne) Ries and Andrew (Kim) Ries; brother, James Higgs; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the services.
