Arcola Cheney JolleyAugust 18, 1927 ~ April 19, 2013Arcola Cheney Jolley passed away on Friday April 19, 2013 in Clearfield, Utah. She was born August 18, 1927 in Fairview, Utah, one of eight children to Aaron Lindon and Valera Stewart Cheney.She married Gideon Teeples Jolley on June 1, 1946; he passed away March 10, 2012. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.Arcola graduated from high school, earned an associates degree in nursing and served in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. She worked as a secretary for the science department at Roy High for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was an avid genealogist, reader, skillful bridge club member, and her homemade candy for the annual family Christmas party was legendary. Her daughters and granddaughters have followed this tradition.She is survived by five children, Lucetta (John) Spader, Susan (David) Winger, Stephen (Kathie) Jolley, Diane (Thomas) Murphy and Terry (Sherry) Jolley, 25 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and six great, great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Ruth Jensen, Glenda Call, Darlene Madsen, numerous nieces, nephews and her special angel Alyssa Dean and her family.She was welcomed home by her husband, parents, four siblings, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., in the Roy 5th Ward Chapel, at 5301 South 2100 West, Roy, Utah. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 6:00 8:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah, and on Friday from 9:30 10:45 a.m., prior to services, at the church. A graveside service will be at the Moroni City Cemetery at 4:00 p.m., with burial to follow.Condolences may be sent to the family at
