Aloha Rindlisbach Porter1929 ~ 2013On Friday, April 19th our sweet companion, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, slipped quietly into the arms of her loving parents and sweet daughter, Tracie, whom she lost in infancy. Aloha Rindlisbach Porter was born on November 11, 1929, in Riverton, Utah, to Lester and Ethel Rindlishbach. She later moved to a farm in Emmett, Idaho, where she learned to work hard and gained her testimony of the Gospel. She was attending BYU when she met her sweetheart, Budd Porter. They were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on April 21, 1950.Aloha was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She loved to serve others, always taking a loaf of bread or dinner to someone in need. She spent hours in her garden and particularly loved her roses. An active member of LDS Church all her life, she served in my positions including RS and Primary President. Her heart was always with the children. She led many Primary choruses and was a Cub leader for several years. Aloha is survived by her husband, Budd, children: Cornell (Ruth), West Valley, UT, Debbie Nelson (Stu), Herriman, UT, (who cared so lovingly for her for the last few years of her life), Kelvin (Sue), Palmdale, CA. and Brett (Heidi), Palmdale, CA. She has 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, brothers: Verron (Joan), Vale, OR, Elwood (Ardella), St. George, UT, sisters: Iris Lorain, Philomath, OR, Gay (Boyd) Dahle, Bowie, TX, Claudia Rindlishbach, Emmett, ID. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, sisters: Adele Burr and LaRae Jabbs, brothers: Wendell, Deon and Rue.A special thanks to Dr. Chad Kimball and his staff, Curo and Our House Care Center who have taken such a personal interest in her well being. Her smile, her laughter, her love of life and the Gospel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 27th, at 10 a.m. in the LDS Chapel, located at 715 South Utah Avenue, Provo.
