Terry had a love for traveling, nature and sports and was an active member of the Wasatch Mountain Club. One of his fellow teachers wrote about him "Our daily trips in the bus up the mountain to APU (the university) were fun. You used to wedge yourself in next to the tiniest Japanese girl on the bus, apologize for the being so fat and than indulge her in conversation until we got to the University 40 minutes later. By the end of the trip the whole bus was listening and had discovered what kind of music she liked, also sports, books, hobbies and many other things. We also knew how many brothers and sisters she had, where she came from and whether she liked the smell of rotten eggs that came out of the sulfurous onsen half way up the mountain. The whole journey was great English practice for the students and always made me chuckle."He is survived by his loving partner Susan Rennau, two brothers and one sister, Mickey D (Nora) Salt Lake, Ronald J of Desert Hot Springs, Ca, and Janette Benvegnu (Craig) Salt Lake. 4 nieces and 3 nephews. The family would like to thank the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), Emeritus and Brighton Hospice for their care and support during this time.
