WEST JORDAN — The city will hold four shredding and electronic waste recycling days throughout the year as part of its new waste management contract.
The first shred/e-waste recycle day is Saturday in the parking lot west of Fire Station 52 next to City Hall, 7950 S. 1825 West.
Residents can bring two banker’s boxes full of documents for shredding, as well as residential electronic waste such as TVs, cellphones, computers and monitors.
Documents will be shredded on site and then recycled. Hard drives can also be shredded if they have been removed from the computer.
The services are for residential use and not for business use. Proof of residency is required.
Future shred days are set for Aug. 10, Nov. 2 and Feb. 1. Beginning June 1, the city will also offer two glass recycling drop-off sites at Fire Station 55, 7725 S. 6440 West, and Fire Station 52.
