Obituary: LAMBSON, FOUNT

Fount Lambson"The Last Rusty"Fount Leroy Lambson, age 89, passed away peacefully March 31, 2013. He is now rejoicing with dear family he has missed for so long.Dad was born on May 21, 1923 in Antimony, Utah to Gus and Lillie Langford Lambson. He loved growing up in Antimony, and is the last of his group of six friends, the "Rusties", to ride into the sunset. In this small town, he developed a life-long love for hunting, fishing, working with his hands, and working hard. He joined the Navy to serve his country in World War II and proudly served in the South Pacific. Upon his return from the Service he met the love of his life, LaVee (Kitty) Roberts while they were both having their appendixes out in the Richfield hospital. They were married six weeks later and enjoyed 53 years together, until Mom passed away in 2000.Dad has been a member of the American Legion, Post 132, for many, many years. He was a heavy duty equipment mechanic and welder by trade. He worked very hard to take care of his family. When he was home, he was always busy "puttering", as he put it. He could be found in his shed working with wood, or doing any number of other projects around his house and yard. He took his family on many great vacations and camping trips. He lived for 58 years in Kearns where he raised his children and some of his grandchildren. He was a very loving man who had a knack for making others feel loved. He was like a father to many more than his own children. His grandchildren adored him. Dad is survived by his son Ken (Sally) Lambson, daughters Dianne (Dave) Raisor, Geri (David) Turley, and Kathryn Lambson. Also survived by his sisters Kathryn (Hal) Brinkerhoff, Betty Marshall and Mary Ann Gillins. Survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
