Russell Lamar Simons1976 2013Russell Lamar (Russ) Simons, loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away Monday morning, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loving family as he made his journey home to his Heavenly Father and his loving ones beyond the veil. Russ was born June 30, 1976 to Mike and Irene Simons. While attending Ricks College he met the love of his life, Liz Varney Simons. They have 3 beautiful children; Haley (13), Taylor (11) and Audra (8). He is also survived by his parents, siblings, Chris and Sarah, in-laws, Jim and Lauren Varney, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his sister-Jenny, grandfather-Clyde Simons, grandfather-Lamar Beveridge, and grandmother-LaTella Beveridge. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ridgecrest Chapel, 3315 W. 5620 S., Taylorsville, UT 84129.
