Alina AlexisThe Lady in PinkAlina was born to John and Melba Burton in Salt Lake City, Utah on 10/13/59. She died at Willow Wood Care Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on 4/26/13. Alina was known by many names during her life, but Alina Alexis was her favorite. She was born a man but felt like a woman. She was a bright shining star with the most beautiful smile. She was kind, sweet, intelligent, meticulous and a lover of flowers. She always had a kind word to say. She could always be seen walking the streets in Salt Lake wearing pink, her favorite color. Alina tried to fit in with the rest of the world around her. She was here on earth to help the rest of us learn to be more tolerant of others who might be different. Thank you, Alina, for teaching patience, love, kindness and that we all are special in our own way. Love you always, your friends. A gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the City and County Building, Room 126, 451 S. State.
