CLEVELAND — Jail logs show Cleveland kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro is under close scrutiny behind bars. He's being monitored every 10 minutes and is accompanied by two officers for any movement outside his cell.
The logs obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press through a records request indicate Castro spends much of his days lying on a mat in his cell or on his bunk.
The logs say Castro complained of the cold when he was first placed in the Cuyahoga County Jail, has also complained of a headache and has a preference for Kool-Aid.
The logs say that on Sunday guards had to stop him using loose strings from the mat to floss his teeth.
