Francis C. LeBaronJan 27, 1930 ~ Apr 24, 2013SAN JOSE, CAFrancis Cheney LeBaron was born in Barnwell, Alberta, Canada, the 4th of 10 children. His hands were held by family members as he passed away in the hospital. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Veda (Pilling), and their eight children: Debbie (Dave), Brian (Michelle), Karen (John), Mark (Debi), Linda (Carl), Brenda (Randy), Judy (Kerry), and Gary(Patti). He cherished each of his 42 grandchildren and their spouses, and his 28 great-grandchildren. Francis served a mission in Australia for the Mormon Church. He graduated with a BS degree in Animal Husbandry from BYU, and a Master's in Agronomy from Utah State. After graduation he was drafted into the Army at the USEUR in Heidelberg, Germany and served as a military policeman. Francis moved his family to San Jose in 1966 to work for the USP Cannery. After it closed, he opened a health food/survival store in 1970. With great passion and dedication he and Veda ran The Beehive Country Store until 2003, at which time they retired and sold the business to his daughter to work on his research of Dr. Francis LeBaron coming to America from France, a book that will be published this year.Francis' energetic personality kept him involved in church activities, poetry, traveling, research, photography, gardening, and creating fun family memories! Please wear colorful clothing to his service in memory of his zest for life and love of nature. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:00-10:45 a.m. in the American Fork LDS 19th Ward Chapel, 1305 North 100 East.
