Lorna JonesJune 25, 1923 ~ May 18, 2013ROY Lorna Vern Olsen Jones, 89, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013. She was born June 25, 1923 in Logan, Utah to Alma and Louisa Ashbaker Olsen. She married Rodney Jones January 17, 1943 in the Logan Temple. Rodney passed away November 17, 2010. Surviving are her son, Blate (Pamela) Minkler of Cedar City; a granddaughter Lorna and Rodney raised, Elease Espinoza of Layton; 12 grandchildren, and many great- and great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Connie and Rolayne, and son Steven, 12 brothers and sisters and her husband Rodney. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Lake View Ward, 4900 South 2000 West, Roy. A viewing will be held Wednesday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
