Ronald Hill Bytheway1913 ~ 2013Our Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather peacefully returned to his heavenly home to join his sweetheart and wife, Cleo Zemp Bytheway and other loved ones, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the age of 99. Born Sept. 21, 1913 to Henry Kendrick Bytheway and Mercy Rebecca Hill Bytheway in SLC, UT. Ron married Cleo Zemp on Sept. 14, 1939 in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple. They were blessed with four daughters and two sons. Ron's love of his family and his testimony of the Gospel are evident by his enduring faithful service both to his family and church. He was skilled in photography and owned his own photo studio in his early married life. After retiring from U & I Sugar Co., he managed the poultry farm for Cannon Stake. Ron served two LDS missions, one to the Western States from 1932-1934 and later with Cleo to the Boston, Massachusetts mission from 1976-1978. He served in many callings in the church on the Stake and Ward level. He loved to spend time with his family camping, fishing, and rock hunting, and later took up oil painting. He is survived by his children, Gail (Ralph) Burningham, Laraine (Lyle) Gordon, William Ronald (Angela), Jerry Lynn (Hope), Sylvia Delaby; 24 Grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren; brothers; Charles (Frieda), Alvin (Criesta); sister, Darlene; sister-in-law Ruth Bytheway.Preceded in death by infant daughter, Barbara, Brothers; LeRoy, Glenden Mervin, Quintin, Ralph, Sister Elva Webb, wives; Cleo and Bertha. Services will be held Tues. May 28, 1:00 pm in the Redwood Memorial Estates chapel, 6500 S Redwood Road in West Jordan, UT. Friends may visit on Sunday, May 26th, between 6 8 pm at the Orchard Stake LDS Chapel, 3599 S. Orchard Dr., NSL, UT or at the Redwood Memorial Estates 1 hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.The family would like to thank Utah Hospice Specialists, especially Debbie and Shellie, and all others who gave Ronald such tender care.
