Steven Joseph & Susan Kimberly Clark"In life they were not divided and in death they were not separated."Steven Joseph Clark (55) and Susan Kimberly Clark (53)On Friday, May 24th, 2013, Steven and Susan passed away suddenly from injuries sustained in an RV accident just north of St. George, UT. They had just celebrated their 32nd anniversary two weeks earlier.Steven was born on November 1st, 1957 at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. He was the fifth son of Maurice Paul Clark and Patricia Gertrude Myers Clark. Both of Steve's parents, his brothers Mark, Dennis, Kim, and Kevin, and sisters Mary Kelli and Trudi survive him.Susan was born on February 28th, 1960 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. She was a fiery redhead, the first child of Robert Harold Falk and Janet Marilyn Kotwitz Falk. Susan grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Both of Sue's parents and her brother Steven Falk survive her.Steven and Susan met at the University of Hawaii during a Halloween party and were married in Las Vegas on May 10th, 1981. The following year, they were contacted by LDS missionaries and baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Steve and Sue were sealed for time and all eternity in the Hawaii Temple on July 5th, 1983. Steve graduated from Montana State University as a mechanical engineer in 1980 and worked tirelessly to champion energy efficient building design. Susan ran her own business as a florist for several years, and then dedicated her time to raising six children. They lived and served in many places, including Wisconsin, Hawaii, Colorado, Montana, and their beloved Southern Alberta. In 2009, they moved down to Provo, UT, to be closer to their children who had gone away to college. Both Steve and Sue worked hard to teach their children the importance of honesty, service, and doing what is right. Steve and Sue loved spending time as a family and often planned vacations to include as many of their loved ones as possible. They were taking their children and grandchildren to Disneyland when the accident occurred.A blown tire caused their RV to leave the road just before six in the morning. It is believed that Sue's driving skill and quick thinking prevented the vehicle from rolling over, sparing the lives of the other eight passengers, even at the cost of her own and her husband's. None of the other passengers sustained serious injury.Steven and Sue will be missed by their children, Amber (David Chen), Adam (Genevieve Binkerd), Aaron, Austin (Chantelle Turley), Autumn, and Anne, as well as their grandchildren Lynn and Lily Chen. Steve and Sue's hard work and careful planning leaves behind a legacy that will help to care for their family now that they have passed on. Steve and Sue's lives were examples of church and community service, and they touched many lives with their kindness and generosity. A funeral service for those wishing to honor and thank them will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 2 p.m. at the Sharon East Stake Center, 2040 N. 1060 East in Provo, UT. There will be a visitation for friends and family on Friday night from 6 to 8, at 650 East Stadium Ave, Provo.
