Ann Bernardi PinoOct. 10, 1920 ~ May 24, 2013Our wonderful mother passed away on May 24. She leaves us with heavy hearts but taught us how to love each other which will bind us together forever. She was born to Mary and Julius Bernardi in Helper, Utah on "10-10-20", as she would always say. She had a wonderful life of 92 years. She married Ross Pino in Bingham Canyon on Oct. 17, 1940. They loved each other for 62 years, depending on the day. Family was everything to mom and dad and together they raised four children and welcomed their spouses into the family and loved them as much as their own. Later she embraced 13 grandchildren who called her "grandma" and 31 great grandchildren who called her "nana". She loved them all unconditionally. Mom loved to garden and spent countless hours making our home a showcase of beauty. Everyone was welcome in her home and you would always know there would be plenty of great food, drinks and lots of laughs. She was a terrific cook and made the best Italian sauce and homemade noodles. She was proud that she found the time to go to school and become a beautician; she was the best in Copperton for over 27 years. One of Mom's most endearing features was her heartfelt smile, it was magical. She could brighten any day and make your problems go away all with her smile. She took an interest in everyone she met and was a close friend.Mom leaves a long legacy; children Jeanette (Wayne) Freeman, Sam (June) Pino, Al (Linda) Pino and Irene (Bud) Wayman, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and countless friends. She will be welcomed into heaven by her husband Ross, son-in-law Wayne, grandson Anthony Pino , mother, father, two sisters, two brothers, four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in law.The family would like to give a special thank you to all the people who helped make mom's life special including the staff at Legacy Retirement Residence, Legacy House Assisted Living and the Hospice nurses and all her doctors. The care she received was incredible. There is a special place in heaven for these people. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.A celebration of Ann's life will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway.
