Randy Kay McArthurOct. 12, 1953 ~ April 30, 2013Randy Kay McArthur passed away April 30 in his son Ryan's home in Kamas, Utah.He was born October 12, 1953 to Theodore Glen McArthur and Ella Peterson McArthur in Mt. Pleasant. His father wanted to name him Caboose as his oldest brother was serving an LDS church mission when he was born.Since his father passed away when he was 13, he accepted the responsibility of looking after his mother until she died in 2000.Randy had seven great loves: his four children, his wife Elaine, basketball and Elvis. He not only loved playing basketball, he also loved coaching, especially those teams including his sons, daughter, and nephews. He found enjoyment in being with Elaine whether they were traveling, cooking together, or just playing games.Randy was a great father, a charismatic man, and a person who cared about everyone. He always appreciated everything done for him and was constantly saying, thank you.Randy married Beth June Bagley in 1972, later divorced. He married Elaine Rice Sullivan in 1991.He is survived by Elaine; his four children, Ryan (Melissa), Kamas; Kyle, Oakley; Jennivee Wohlwend (Justin), Riverside, CA; and Brittany Harward (Chanley), Cedar City; eight grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marlene Judkins.The funeral will be held Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant LDS Church (295 South Street) with a viewing preceding the funeral at 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
