LOS ANGELES — Trevor Cahill pitched seven strong innings and drove in Arizona's first two runs with his first major league triple, and the Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-2 on Monday night.
Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Ross hit consecutive homers in the fourth after a glaring error by left fielder Carl Crawford, helping Arizona to just its second win in the last seven games.
Cahill (2-3) allowed two runs and six hits, struck out two and walked three. The right-hander is 5-0 in eight career starts against the Dodgers with a 2.10 ERA, his lowest against any opponent.
