Bill G. Parsons Sept. 30, 1924 May 3, 2013Bill Gene Parsons passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 3, 2013. He was born on September 30, 1924 to Carl and Ina Chamness Parsons in Herrin, Illinois.Bill served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Intrepid in World War II. It was during this time while on shore leave that he met Paulette Forsse and they were later married on March 24, 1946 in Oakland, California. Bill loved ice-skating, trials bikes, bicycling, wood carving, gardening and puttering. He could fix just about anything. Most of all he loved Paulette and his family.Bill is survived by his wife Paulette, son Michael (Marylou) Parsons, Newark CA, daughter Gail Bullock, Sandy, UT, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren with 2 expected this year.We'll miss you dad but give us a "hubba-hi" every now and then We'll be listening for you!Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 AM prior to a memorial tribute which will start at 11:00 AM in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary located at the same address.In lieu of flowers please perform an act of kindness to honor Bill.
